The Dangers of Being a Philatelic Hoarder…
Or more accurately, the dangers of being a philatelic hoarder with impulse control issues. 😉
I’m hosting a U.S. revenue buy/sell/trade session before and during CHICAGOPEX next month, so I’m starting to put together the cartons of material I’ll be bringing with me. It’s material I’ve already plundered, material I bought for resale, and also lots of material intended for my collection that I just haven’t gotten around to processing/imaging.
As I’m going through the material, some of the purchases dating back 10 years, I frequently find myself asking the following questions:
“Why the [CENSORED] did I buy this?”
“Why the [CENSORED] did I pay so much for this?”
“Oh [CENSORED], you mean I already had one of these?”
and sadly, far less frequently:
“Holy [CENSORED]! I didn’t realize I bought this. Cool!”
Organization. It’s a commodity some of us are in short supply of.
